Attaching the Real Time Clock

If you are using the Real Time clock you attach it to the RPI board using the pins closest to the SD card slot.

1. Push the RTC module onto the RPI pins closest to the Micro SD card slot. These are first five pins closest to the end. The pins are the "inside" ones - pins 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 in the picture below

The RTC battery will hang over the Micro SD Card slot.

You should still be able to see pins 2, 4, 6, ... on the outside.
